The Spanish company Geeksphone, a pioneer in the design and manufacture of new generation smartphones, is finalizing updates related to its Geeksphone ‘Revolution’ terminal. In the upcoming days it will incorporate Android 4.4 Kit Kat and CyanogenMod 11(yes,they will give it to you!! No need to worry about warranty void), a new and more stable modification of Android 4.4 operating system, which offers more freedom to the user.
According to Antutu Benchmark, an application that measures device performances, Geeksphone ‘Revolution’ gets a score of 19,964, which makes it a leader in its segment. Furthermore, the performance of this device is significantly higher than the average of CPUs ARM quadcore equipped terminals, while battery life has an average of 3 days of normal use with FXOS (Boot2Gecko Mozilla) operating system. Geeksphone also announces today the compatibility with the future version of the FXOS 2.0 operating system, which will soon be available as beta.
Moreover, the new device features 1.6GHz Intel® Atom™ Z2560, with Intel ® Hyper-Threading technology processor, capable of delivering advanced multi-tasking capabilities, higher performance and longer battery life. In addition, besides being a powerful device, its most innovative feature is the ability for users to alternate their operating system without voiding the warranty(Thats the dream).
They are also trying out other open operating systems. We cant wait to see where this goes!!
Program manager is a great application for windows phone users. If you have a rooted phone, go ahead and install this app. Seen people on android phones backing up their apps so their data is saved?? Now even you can. The app lets you pack(you can then access using a file browser to email them or transfer to computer. More on this in a later post),backup, restore and remove other apps. Hint-great app if you keep hard resetting your phone to try new stuff.

If you own a Windows Phone, you will definitely know how irritating it is when your WiFi disconnects when the screen times out. This is a major issue as downloads may be disrupted and services relying on internet may fail if you don’t have mobile data on. So what is the solution?? Well windowsphonehacker has developed one app to keep your WiFi “alive”. Like all great utility apps, this too is a homebrew and requires developer unlock/interop to install. Unlock now and stop worrying about your WiFi connection “dying”. The app is really simple and easy to use. in fact there is only one toggle switch(check screenshot) and your preference is saved even after you switch off your phone(my experience).
*REQUIRES ROOT ACCESS*
This is probably the most important tool for windows phone users. With no expandable storage, you may end up falling short of space often. Even though you dont have too many apps and songs etc,you can still fall short of space.
Cache clearer is a tool which clears the cache of each and every app!! Initially I thought maybe I’ll save 20-30mb…reality- from 1.23Gb available after a complete cleanup I have 2.67Gb free!!!! Apps hog memory by storing images etc while you browse, so grab this app quickly!!

This homebrew app is probably one that I love the most.
We all know that Windows phones lack the option of taking a screenshot.
This app takes care if that, all you need is a developer or higher unlocked phone.
You start the app and then press the camera key half down to capture whatever activity you want.
One can also set it to take screenshots automatically at various intervals of time.
From the app you choose which images you want to keep by saving them to your picture gallery.
We personally recommend this app:P
All windows phone users know that bluetooth is as good as useless on our phones for file transfers. To overcome this limitation this amazing app has been developed.
All you need to do is open it, switch on your bluetooth, select files and transfer.
As of now photos, music and contacts can be shared. The transfer speed is fast, however certain android phones don’t seem to accept the transfer.
The interface is clean, overall performance is decent.
The main drawback is that this app is not there on the market place, so to install you need developer unlock as the minimum requirement(not root, just a way to install xaps manually)
